Three Dog Night and Little River Band at the HSC 2024 Legends Concert Series

Legendary rock bands Three Dog Night and Little River Band are the featured artists at the 2024 Legends Concert Series, The 鈥檚 signature fundraising event.

The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. Nov.17 at , 525 Commerce St. in Fort Worth. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 26.

Presented by JPMorgan Chase & Co., the concert will raise funds for HSC student scholarships. Since its inception in 2013, the series has generated more than $2.5 million to support various HSC initiatives.

This year鈥檚 benefit concert is chaired by Fort Worth residents Michele and Fred Reynolds. Michele Reynolds, an emerita member of the 黑料视频HSC Foundation Board, received HSC鈥檚 VISION Award in 2015.

鈥淲e are delighted to pick up the beat from last year鈥檚 Legends event and once again support HSC and its students in their pursuit of excellent health care education,鈥 Michele Reynolds said. 鈥淏y alleviating the financial stresses faced during school, our aim is to empower students to focus on what matters most 鈥 providing exceptional care to others.鈥

Lyndsay Millican, a fourth-year student in HSC鈥檚 Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, was a 2022-23 recipient of a Legends scholarship. She said receiving the scholarship was life-changing.

鈥淎s a medical student, every dollar counts, so receiving this award meant the world to me. It allowed me to buy essential supplies I needed for school,鈥 Millican said. 鈥淭he funds raised from this event directly support students like me, and that scholarship makes all the difference. It provides crucial financial support that we can put to meaningful use, helping us focus on our education and future.鈥

Three Dog Night, formed in 1967, is renowned for its harmonious vocal arrangements and a string of chart-topping hits during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The Grammy-nominated band achieved remarkable success with 21 consecutive Top 40 hits, including 11 Top 10 singles and three No. 1 songs, including 鈥淛oy to the World.鈥 The band earned 12 gold albums, blending rock, pop and soul with powerful vocal harmonies that left a lasting impact on the music industry. The band鈥檚 name refers to a term used by native Australian hunters who huddled with their dogs on cold nights, with the coldest being a 鈥渢hree dog night.鈥

Little River Band, formed in 1975 in Melbourne, Australia, is known for smooth harmonies and a melodic rock sound. The band gained significant commercial success in Australia and the U.S. during the late 1970s and early 1980s. As one of the first Australian bands to achieve major success in the U.S., it had several Top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including 鈥淩eminiscing鈥 and 鈥淟onesome Loser.鈥 The band鈥檚 sophisticated, radio-friendly sound helped it become one of Australia鈥檚 most successful bands internationally, with more than 30 million records sold worldwide.

Both bands continue to tour and perform, bringing their classic hits to new generations of fans. Their participation in the 2024 Legends Benefit Concert Series promises an evening of nostalgic rock and memorable performances.

Past Legends headliners have included Christopher Cross, Air Supply, ZZ Top, Trisha Yearwood, Dwight Yoakam, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Chicago, Vince Gill, Jay Leno and Clint Black.
